The Church of St. Joseph in Krzeszów. Part I

    An analysis of functional and spatial conditions of localization of the Church of St. Joseph in the monastic complex of Krzeszów, has been presented as well as a general characteristic of the object’s composition. The drawings of the church’s elevations have been made on the basis of cataloguing documentation, registering the state of the object in 1981. Historical circumstances of the erection of the church, as the first object among Baroque buildings in the monastic complex of Krzeszów, have been described. An analysis of the state of hitherto investigation results, related to the authorship and typological classification of the object, has been carried out. The directions of further investigations have been proposed, making use of information and analyses presented in the elaboration.
